Traffic lights off, crash at the intersection on 130: woman from Assemini in serious condition
The 79-year-old was airlifted to Brotzu. The driver of the car traveling with her was also injured

Serious accident between the traffic lights of state road 130, two people from Assemini were injured .
The incident happened around 11.30 today, in Assemini at the intersection between via Piave and via S'Abixedda, when the traffic lights, perhaps due to a fault, were off . The two cars involved, a Fiat Panda and a Ford Fiesta, collided in the center of the intersection.
The occupants of the Panda fared the worst: the driver, a 38-year-old young man, suffered minor injuries, and was accompanied by 118 to the Monserrato polyclinic, while the 79-year-old woman, who was traveling on the passenger side, due to serious injuries she was transported by air ambulance, with a red code, to the Brotzu hospital in Cagliari . Fortunately, the driver of the Fiesta, a young woman from Decimomannu, was unharmed.
The firefighters, the Anas technicians, the barracelli and the municipal police of Assemini intervened on site and, through investigations and findings, will have to ascertain the exact dynamics of the accident. Traffic was also inconvenienced, slowing down for over an hour.
