Promote the consumption of less valued local fish and fish products from aquaculture. This is the goal of the initiative " Add a fish to the table " which today saw its last appointment at the San Giovanni fish pond. The initiative is by the Laore Sardegna agency in collaboration with the Fisheries and Aquaculture Service of the Regional Agriculture Department.
A tour to discover the lagoon, with a visit to the fishpond managed by the Tortolì Fishermen Cooperative in the company of the president Luca Cacciatori, the commissioner Laore Gerolamo Solina with a delegation from the fishing and aquaculture service of the Department of Agriculture. Also present were the municipal councilors Walter Cattari and Bonaria Murreli .
It got to the heart with the demonstration of the day of the fish operator with fishing in the catch tanks. The tour continued with the spectacular visit by boat in the 270-hectare lagoon . Here oysters are farmed and wonderful birdlife can be observed: mallards, herons, flamingos. On the boat the tasting of fish products including the renowned Fabrizie oysters and the prized bottarga of Arbatax.
At the end of the morning we moved to the hotel institute with the show cooking of chef Enrico Carta.
