Three cars involved and four injured in hospital. This is the balance of the accident that happened in the late afternoon today in viale Santa Chiara, just ahead of the intersection of the Tortolì cemetery.

According to an initial dynamic of the facts, still to be ascertained, a Peugeot 108 driven by a woman from Talana hit a black Volkswagen Golf driven by a boy from Villanova Strisaili. The Peugeot had just left the level crossing of Viale Santa Chiara behind it and, for reasons yet to be ascertained, it struck the left rear of the Golf which was traveling in the opposite direction.

Immediately after the collision, the black Golf flew over another gray Golf, driven by a man originally from Arzana but residing in Loceri, who was following the same direction as the Peugeot. The driver's minor son was also traveling on board the gray Golf.

The wounded, who always remained alert and conscious although in pain, were transported to the Nostra Signora della Mercede hospital in Lanusei for the necessary checks. The carabinieri of the Lanusei mobile radio section carried out the legal findings to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the accident. The Tortolì firefighters worked on the spot to clean the roadway and remove the cars and three 118 ambulances. Traffic along Viale Santa Chiara suffered a long slowdown.
