Too much dust and too many fine particles in the dirt section of Via Sagittario. The Nuova Torre delle Stelle association has carried out surveys (the last one on 13 August) according to which the average value of fine particles due to the continuous transit of cars was four times higher than the legal limits. And the municipality of Sinnai has lowered the speed limit to 10 km per hour.

The test was carried out in the stretch of via Sagittario near the parking lot of the municipal park. «The measurements - explains the association - were carried out with a MeteoTracker device equipped with an additional module for the detection, in addition to weather data, of fine dust, in calm wind conditions and with traffic equal to about a vehicular transit every 15-20 seconds at an estimated speed of around 15-20 kilometers per hour».

In essence, in the section indicated, "an abnormal production of dust" is created. Again according to the association, the ideal solution would be to intervene with the periodic wetting of the dirt road section of the Via Sagittario as was done in the past with the collaboration of the neighboring Municipality of Maracalagonis.

The new association informed the Municipality of Sinnai of the data collected and the Municipality yesterday set up a sign that reduces the speed limit on that stretch of road to 10 kilometers per hour.
