The second car used two days ago by the armed commando that attacked the Mondialpol armored van in Torpè was found in the pine forest of Mandras, in Capo Comino di Siniscola.
It is a Fiat Punto , used for the escape immediately after the robbery carried out on provincial road 24. Before abandoning it, the bandits set it on fire . The other car, a stolen Volkswagen Polo , was identified yesterday in Lodè. In this case, the bandits did not destroy it.
The raid was carried out around 10:30 on Thursday, at the intersection of the road that goes to the Maccheronis dam and the provincial road that leads to Lodè. The gang, composed of at least four men armed with rifles, blocked the armored van and forced the driver to hand over the loot, which is believed to be worth nearly one hundred thousand euros .
