Hundreds of people participated this evening in Sassari in the Torchlight Procession of Legality promoted by the San Donato Institute, the Historic Center Committee and the parishes of the neighborhood.

The procession was opened at Porta Sant'Antonio by the children of the San Donato school where, at a distance of 20 metres, 5 gunshots were fired last Thursday. The unanimous chorus is "Away with illegality", which all the participants sing, from the parents and grandparents of the little ones to the citizens and politicians who are for once out of sight. There are many residents who hope for the return of security as well as the Senegalese, who have lived in Sassari Vecchia for years.

«In the last 15 years - declares the community representative, Sené Amadou Lamine - everything has gotten worse. How do the people of Sassari manage to give houses to people who do nothing from morning to night? Don't they wonder how they pay the rent?'

In the end the procession ends in Via San Donato, a center of drug trafficking and brawls. The children are always there, chanting: "School must not be left alone."
