To escape the checks at the airport, he has seen fit to send , directly to his home , a package containing sand and shells collected on the beaches of the Costa Smeralda .

The protagonist is a 57-year-old German tourist , unmasked by a twist of fate : in fact, bad luck wanted the post office to consider the package irregular and send it back to the sender , that is the hotel where the man had stayed in April.

The hoteliers, having received the package, notified the Carabinieri of Loiri Porto San Paolo who made the discovery.

For the German tourist, a fine of 1,000 euros was imposed, foreseen for the prohibited removal of sand and shells from the Sardinian coasts.
