Thrown from the scooter ends up under a tanker: twenty-three year old from Assemini dies in Macchiareddu

Fatal accident in Assemini, in the industrial area of Macchiareddu, on Provincial Road 92.

The victim is Giacomo Puddu, 23, from Assemini . According to an initial reconstruction, the young man was riding his scooter when an off-road vehicle in front of him slowed down to give way to a tanker arriving from the opposite direction. Puddu tried to brake but on that narrow road he first hit the vehicle in front of him, then lost control.

Thrown from the vehicle, the boy was run over by the heavy vehicle . The impact was fatal: the young man was crushed by a wheel.

Puddu was returning home to Assemini: he was a metalworker in a factory in the industrial area.
