Thiesi, drunk driving for miles: arrested by the Carabinieri

Drunk woman zigzags for miles. A 50-year-old woman was chased for a long time yesterday between Thiesi and the road to Ittiri by Carabinieri from the Bonorva station. The woman had left the village by car, despite being advised not to drive, given her intoxicated state.
The officers repeatedly ordered her to stop, both with beeps and using a megaphone to make themselves heard. But the woman continued on, stopping only after experiencing car trouble. And, once she got out of the car, she wanted to walk through a dark area.
However, the Carabinieri stopped her, arresting her for drunk driving and resisting a public officer. Today in court in Sassari, Judge Marta Guadalupi confirmed the order, releasing the suspect. The prosecutor was Antonio Piras and the defense lawyer Marco Palmieri.
