A 42-year-old from Sestu and a 35-year-old from Iglesias, both unemployed and already known to the police, were reported on the loose for the crime of home theft in competition.

The investigations were triggered by the complaint, on 7 January last, of a seventy-year-old resident in the Sardinian capital.

The two women, on the afternoon of January 5, together with an as yet unidentified man had gone to the 70-year-old's home to have a coffee. However, the elderly man would have lost consciousness and, upon awakening, asked for help from the neighbors who called the 118 staff to help. The elderly, transferred to the Brotzu for investigations, then realized that he had been drugged: upon returning to his home, he then noticed the theft of a television, a mobile phone and a wallet containing 300 euros in cash.

The two women were identified by the military during investigations supported by photographic recognition.
