When they saw those two men, unemployed and well known to the police, stopping in front of a shop that buys and sells precious objects , they immediately understood that something was wrong.

Thus the Carabinieri of the Carbonia Station, almost by chance but thanks to their intuition and in-depth knowledge of the area and the individuals in question, managed to solve the case of a burglary in a home to the detriment of an elderly woman which had occurred a few hours earlier in Sant'Antioco .

They stopped the two men, aged 30 and 35, before they entered the shop to offer the goods in their possession to the shopkeeper .

They had a valuable watch, several gold jewelry pieces, and a substantial sum of cash , including a banknote that had been turned into a greeting card. It was easy to trace all the material back to a burglary reported a few hours earlier by a 73-year-old woman from Sant'Antioco, to whom the entire stolen goods were returned . A Taser owned by the 35-year-old was also seized. The two were charged at large.
