They occupied a house on Via Augusto in Monserrato. The owner noticed by chance and called the police. Identified by the military, the perpetrators were unable to explain why they had taken possession of the property, so it is not yet clear whether it was an attempted illegal occupation, a prank or something else. Three young people between 18 and 22 years old, residents between Monserrato and Quartu, ended up in trouble.
The facts date back to last night. The military of the Monserrato station, with the support of the Operational and Radiomobile Unit of the Quartu Company, intervened after a request for help from a fifty-six-year-old resident of the town, who had found her home occupied by strangers.
The woman, passing by the currently vacant house late in the evening, had the bitter surprise of discovering that the front door had been forced open and that inside, probably, there were unknown people. She immediately contacted 112.
The soldiers, who arrived on the scene in a few minutes, found the three boys inside the house, already partly arranged as if it were their own home. Stopped and taken to the barracks, they were identified. At the time of questioning, none of the three was able to provide a logical or motivated explanation for the gesture.
The house was immediately returned to its rightful owner, while the three young people were reported for trespassing and their position will now be examined by the judicial authorities.
