He acted at night, stealing work tools worth around 10,000 euros from a barber shop in the centre. But the surveillance cameras left him no escape.

An 18-year-old unemployed resident in the town was reported by the Carabinieri on charges of aggravated theft.

The robbery dates back to April 16, when the owner of the beauty salon found the premises burgled and immediately filed a complaint. From that moment on, investigations began, conducted by the military of the Gonnosfanadiga station with the support of colleagues from Guasila. The images from the video cameras installed in the area and the testimonies collected on site were fundamental for tracing the alleged perpetrator of the theft.

Investigators were able to reconstruct the movements of the young man on the evening of the theft, cross-referencing times, routes and suspicious behavior. This morning, during a house search, the circle was closed: inside the boy's home, electric and manual razors, professional scissors, nail polish, a nail file, a POS terminal and even clothes that appear to be those worn during the break-in were found. Among the material were also one hundred euros in coins, considered compatible with the takings stolen from the cash register.

The stolen goods, with an estimated total value of around ten thousand euros, were seized and already returned to their rightful owner. While the eighteen-year-old was reported at large to the Public Prosecutor's Office of Cagliari. Now investigators want to understand if the young man could be involved in other similar thefts that have occurred in the area in recent weeks.
