He had landed in Sardinia a few hours earlier, but when he returned from a swim in Poetto he found his car with a broken window and his luggage stolen . A nasty misadventure for a 29-year-old tourist from Lombardy who immediately turned to the police. The military's lightning-fast investigation and a mini GPS hidden in his suitcase allowed them to locate the stolen goods in less than an hour in a courtyard on the outskirts of the city.

Here a 62-year-old Bosnian resident of Olbia, already known to the police, was caught while trying to empty his suitcase. The man was reported at large for receiving stolen goods.

During the operation, all of the tourist's personal effects were recovered and returned: his suitcase, a backpack, a wallet with 200 euros and a music player.
