The evening ended with the arrest of a thirty-year-old from Berchidda, who over the weekend was the protagonist of a chase for dozens of kilometers at crazy speed, partly in the wrong direction, on the Sassari-Olbia highway.

The young man entered the highway taking the wrong lane: he was going toward Olbia, but the direction was for Sassari. His maneuver was noticed by the agents of a patrol of the Polstrada of the Sassari command, who positioned themselves behind him, until they spotted him at a service station. Here the driver, realizing he had been caught, decided to worsen his position: he pressed his foot on the accelerator, entered the highway - this time in the right direction - and began a flight that continued for 60 kilometers, during which, as the agents recorded, he reached peak speeds of 220 kilometers per hour.

Then he turned into a side street, while the first patrol was joined by another.

The chase ended a few kilometers further on. But the story did not end there: the thirty-year-old barricaded himself in the car, until the officers managed to get him out . At that moment he lunged at one of them and was immobilized. Thus, to the long list of charges were added also resisting a public official and injuries. Today the validation hearing.
