The screening campaign aimed at primary and secondary school students in Sardinia to detect any Covid cases before the restart of educational activities is underway.

This morning in Cagliari, at the Civil Protection depot at the Sardinia Fair, the distribution of antigen tests to the Municipalities and Local Health Authorities began. The operations are coordinated by the Asl8 of Cagliari. There are several centers on the island where monitoring on a voluntary basis has already started thanks to the collaboration of the mayors. In the ASL8 area, where the basin has 77 thousand students, 70 health workers, doctors and administrative staff will be employed.

In Cagliari , four operational locations have been indicated on Saturday 8 January from 12 to 18 and Sunday 9 from 9 to 18, in the capital the screening will be held in the gyms in via Piceno, via Koch, via Fosse Ardeatine and via Garavetti; in Selargius the tests will be carried out in the gym in via Bixio on Saturday from 9.30 to 18 and Sunday from 9 to 18; at Quartucciu screening on Saturday and Sunday from 9 to 18 at the headquarters in via Don Minzoni; in Sestu test in the school in via Dante, Saturday from 10.30 to 18 and Sunday from 9 to 18; in Quartu Sant'Elena the screening will be held in via Nenni on Saturday and Sunday from 9.30 to 18; in Monserrato the indicated office is that of via San Gavino, operational on Saturday and Sunday from 9.30 to 18; at Mandas screening on Saturday from 16.00 to 18 and on Sunday from 10.30 to 13 and from 16 to 19 in the headquarters of the inclusive institute; in Guasila test in the school gym in via Scintu, Sunday from 3.30 pm; in Maracalagonis on Saturday from 15 to 19 and on Sunday from 9 to 14 at the Palazzetto dello Sport; in Nurallao on Saturday from 2.30pm to 6pm in the former San Salvatore middle school; in Capoterra on Saturday from 9 to 18 at the Meccano center; in Castiadas on Monday 10 January from 9 to 14 in the structure of the parish of Olia Speciosa; in Monastir on Saturday from 10 to 12.30 and from 16 to 19.30 in the municipal gymnasium in via Tempio which will also welcome students from Nuraminis, Ussana, San Sperate and Villasor ; at Samatzai screening on Saturday from 9 to 13 at the ex Montegranatico. In Vallermosa test on Saturday from 9 to 13 in the municipal gymnasium; for the students of Muravera and San Vito swabs at the San Marcellino di Muravera hospital on Sunday from 8 to 13 and from 14 to 18. The screening in Villaspeciosa started today with 179 swabs on 205 students, 3 positive results were detected.

"The whole student population is invited to participate and contribute, in this way, to make school contexts safer and to avoid, in the interest of all, the use of distance learning", said the councilor for health Mario Nieddu.
