The municipality will soon intervene on the road in Presettas , in the Tresnuraghes district, which effectively prohibits traffic. Mayor Gianluigi Mastinu is responding to the incident, which was reported a few days ago by the area's only resident, Giuliana Carotti, 84, who is isolated because no one can reach her home due to the condition of the road, which is full of potholes and rocks.

"There has been no neglect by the municipal institutions and social services, which have always provided the necessary support and met her immediate needs," she says. "The Municipality has also always taken steps to ensure the usability of the access road to the home, intervening whenever possible, including given the weather conditions, with periodic maintenance. It should be noted that the Municipality was unable to undertake structural improvements because it was not authorized to do so, as it is not a municipal road but is classified as a local road. For this very reason, in order to find a more structured solution, we are evaluating the possibility of promoting the establishment of a local consortium, thus gaining access to a soon-to-be-expired call for proposals and identifying a more permanent solution."

The mayor also states that the intervention had already been planned, but it was deemed appropriate to postpone it until more favorable weather conditions could be achieved, in order to ensure its full effectiveness. "This administration," he continues, "has never left anyone behind: its presence and attention to citizens have always been constant and characterized by the utmost solicitude. If, in some circumstances, it was not possible to reach a definitive resolution, this was due exclusively to objective limitations and certainly not to a lack of will, sensitivity, or commitment on the part of the institution."
