It is written “Pariglia” and it is read as a reckless and exciting horse race led by young, daring people capable of performing amazing feats on galloping steeds. As ancestral as the story that, in Sardinia, links the horse to man, the pariglia is pure adrenaline that flows through the veins of the young riders, passes through tense muscles like an earthquake capable of subverting the rules of gravity.

In Lula, next Saturday 5th July, after years of absence, the show of the pariglie returns. Organized by Su Sotziu Pariglia Luvulesa and the Associazione Ippica Culturale Calavrina, the appointment is for 10.30 in the spaces of the Moreddu hall where there will be a debate on the history of the horse in Sardinia and on the “balentia” of the island knights, whose fame has now crossed the regional borders.

At 5:00 pm the opening of the equestrian carousel on the dirt track of San Nicola with the pariglianti group of Lula where a very young rider Angela Bundone is present, followed by the evolutions of the Pariglianti groups of Ovodda, Padria, Fonni, Castiadas and Ittiri. The community dinner and the dances accompanied by the sound of the accordion will close the evening of celebration.
