"Technical problem." No further details were revealed about the cause of the return of the Aeroitalia flight, which was scheduled to land at Linate after departing Elmas Airport at 3:20 PM. A few minutes after takeoff, the pilot reversed course and returned to Mario Mameli Airport.
The airline announced that all passengers have been re-protected on another aircraft that was available in Cagliari and will therefore be able to reach Milan, albeit later than the scheduled time of 4:40 PM.
The aircraft on which the "technical problem" was recorded is now parked on the runway.
A complex day on the transport front, therefore, for those who need to travel from Sardinia: this morning, the 8:35 a.m. ITA Airways flight from Alghero to Linate was cancelled without warning . That flight, too, was described as a "technical problem." But the flight hadn't even taken off: travelers were simply re-routed late in the evening.
