While the damage caused by storms and real "water bombs" in various areas of Sardinia are still counted, the island is still alarmed by bad weather and especially by snow.

The regional civil protection has in fact issued a warning of adverse weather conditions due to low-altitude snowfalls and frosts.

The alert will go off from midnight on Saturday 11 December, to end at 10 on the same day.

Light and scattered snowfalls are expected with accumulations on the ground starting from an altitude of 800 meters. On north-western Sardinia, snow could fall at lower altitudes, close to 600 meters. With the decrease in night temperatures, frosts may occur even at hilly altitudes.
