The “Gennargentu” battalion in aid of Sant'Efisio: transport in a military van
Due to some works on the old road to Pula, the army transmitters accompanied the statue along the stretch of route between Giorgino and Capoterra

This year too, the statue of Sant'Efisio remained in good hands during the typical procession towards Nora, returning safely inside the church of Stampace. The soldiers of the "Gennargentu" battalion, experts in technologies and communications, contributed.
After anchoring the simulacrum to the wagon, the battalion loaded the chariot onto an Army van to take it from Giorgino (Villa Ballero) to Capoterra (La Maddalena Spiaggia). For now the stretch is not passable on foot, due to an intervention at the canal port which blocked the old road to Pula.
On May 4, the day of the martyr's return, the military went back, bringing the statue back from Maddalena Spiaggia to Villa Ballero. From that point, the procession continued on foot to the church of Stampace, where the martyr will rest until next year.
