The container ship Joseph Schulte, flying the Hong Kong flag, has landed at the port of Cagliari, the first to leave the port of Odessa, in Ukraine, and to use the new "humanitarian corridor" announced in recent days by Kiev. The goal is to ease shipping routes after Moscow exits the grain deal.

The cargo departed from the Ukraine on August 16th and, after having touched the port of Istanbul in Turkey on August 24th, arrived yesterday in Cagliari.

The container ship Joseph Schulte "was in the port of Odessa since February 23, 2022", the day of the attack by Vladimir Putin's troops, and "left the Vorontsov lighthouse" to head towards the Bosphorus with "more than 30,000 tons cargo (2,114 containers), including food products», the Ukrainian Minister of Infrastructure, Oleksandr Kubrakov, underlined on Facebook on the day of departure.
