Igor Sollai, the 43-year-old lorry driver from Assemini, has made use of the right not to respond. He has been in Uta prison for two weeks on charges of killing and hiding the body of his wife, Francesca Deidda , a 42-year-old call center operator from Elmas. .
The couple had lived in San Sperate for years, from where the woman disappeared on May 10th. For days she didn't show up for work and had no contact with friends and colleagues, until she was reported missing and the search began.
The body was found last Thursday near Rio Picocca, San Priamo, San Vito area , locked in a bag in a fetal position. The RIS are currently carrying out further investigations on some artefacts found right near the black bag.
Sollai, defended by the lawyer Carlo Demurtas, has always declared himself innocent in all interrogations.
