"The city of the sun". This is how Cagliari is succinctly described in the title of the monthly magazine Polizia moderna. In fact, for the July issue, the Cagliari police headquarters was chosen for the usual journey to discover the police stations throughout Italy. "The impression I had from the first days was that I was in a healthy, available, synergic city and that I was leading a young, dynamic, motivated police headquarters that was substantially in line with the needs of the Province". This is one of the passages from Police Commissioner Rosanna Lavezzaro in the article by Francesco Abate, a journalist from L'Unione Sarda.

What struck me about the city of Cagliari was the correctness of its inhabitants, their seriousness, their great civic sense and their behavior, which was always attentive and respectful of the rules", continues the commissioner. In the four pages dedicated to the city of the sun, the photos also stand out with a panoramic view of Cagliari, of the Basilica of Bonaria but also of the sea of Capo Malfatano and Poetto. In addition to the article with the interview with the commissioner, there is a piece by the Cagliari writer Piergiorgio Pulixi and the intervention of the director of the Quartu police station, Silvia Casu, on the third city of Sardinia, Quartu.

The issue (to subscribe all the info on the website of the State Police) reserves the cover to the Paris Olympics and the record presence of athletes of the Fiamme Oro: 125. And in athletics the sprinter from Cagliari Dalia Kaddari stands out. (mv)
