Alessandro Zaniboni's body was seized by the Public Prosecutor of Lanusei.

The replacement, Giovanna Morra, has ordered investigations into the remains of the 55-year-old surveyor found on Sunday afternoon in Bacu Tattis, in the Supramonte di Baunei , 500 days after his disappearance. To dispel any (very subtle) doubts about the origin of the death, the prosecutor ordered a cadaveric examination.

Only at the end of the investigations will the prosecutor issue the authorization for the return of the body to the family who will be able to take the 55-year-old back to Grado (Gorizia) who, before arriving at the Arbatax Intermare, had worked in Spain and Holland.

There were no more doubts about the fact that it was Zaniboni's body since late Sunday evening: during an initial inspection, the agents of the Tortolì police station, led by the manager Fabrizio Figliola and coordinated by the prosecutor Morra, found in the backpack the wallet with documents.

The body was found by a group of hunters from Baunei in a state of decomposition at the base of a phillyrea plant, about a hundred meters from the point where the local shotguns had always found the man's telephone in November last year who in the previous July had ventured into the Supramonte for an excursion which ended in tragedy.
