The Oristano prosecutor's office has opened a murder case for the death of Giovanni Cuccu, a 47-year-old from Quartu Sant'Elena . The result of the autopsy will be decisive for establishing the exact causes of death.

According to an initial reconstruction by the Carabinieri, it seems that Cuccu was a guest at the house of some friends in Terralba , in via Eleonora, in recent days . After an evening spent together, during the night Cuccu allegedly got up and lost his balance falling to the ground .

Rescued by the landlord, he would go back to bed until the next morning when the alarm went off: the domestic worker realized that the 47-year-old's conditions were very critical and it was necessary to call for help immediately. So the intervention of 118 was requested.

Cuccu was urgently transferred to the Brotzu hospital in Cagliari. Here, despite all the doctors' attempts, he died the next day as a result of the severe trauma.

In light of the injuries found on the 47-year-old's body, the hospital's medical management sent a report to the Oristano prosecutor's office : the injuries could also have been due to violent actions. Doubts also confirmed in an initial external examination carried out by the judiciary consultant who, at that point, opened a murder case.
