After over a year of work, the restoration of the Cathedral of St. Peter the Apostle in Tempio has been completed. The work, funded by the Region with nearly half a million euros, began at the end of 2024 and was also necessary for the safe use of certain parts of the building.

The Cultural Heritage Office of the Diocese of Tempio entrusted technicians Mario Battino, Claudio Marras, and Pietro Sotgiu with a complex project that primarily involved the cathedral's roof. Over twenty thousand tiles were replaced; the church's roof was severely damaged, and water infiltration was damaging the chapels and the liturgical hall.

The poor condition of the roof was also creating very serious problems inside the cathedral.
