Suitcase with 13 kilos of cocaine found on the beach in La Maddalena

Thirteen kilos of cocaine were found on a small beach near Porto Massimo, in La Maddalena. The drugs were inside a suitcase that seemed abandoned on the sand.

The discovery was made by men from the naval section of the Guardia di Finanza of La Maddalena, who were engaged in a territorial control activity.

At the moment, no reports or arrests have been filed. The luggage could have been entrusted to the sea and was intercepted before the recipient could retrieve it. Or it was abandoned by someone who was afraid of the controls. In the meantime, it is not excluded that someone opened the suitcase before the arrival of the Fiamme Gialle.

Investigations are ongoing.
