Now the ball is in the Regional Council’s court where next week, in the Urban Planning Commission, the bill on Suitable Areas approved today by the Todde Council will be presented. The text - four articles that refer to ninety pages of attachments - “regulates in a precise manner the suitable and non-suitable areas, and the ordinary and restricted ones”, explained the President of the Region Alessandra Todde after the green light. The governor underlined that “the non-suitable areas concern the majority of the Sardinian territory”, and that “the authorizations in progress that go outside the context of the suitable areas will no longer have effect”.

A passage also on the «fund of 670 million to incentivize citizens, businesses and institutions for self-consumption». Todde also wanted to underline that «Sardinia is the first Region to implement the Pichetto Fratin decree on suitable areas. Now, however, the text is being considered by the Sardinian Assembly, and the approval times are not expected to be short.

The same councilor for urban planning Francesco Spanedda, in a note, speaks of the goal of getting the green light within the year.
