This morning operations resumed to recover the body of Stefano Bianchelli, 56 years old, one of the two divers who died off the coast of Villasimius last Sunday while placing marker buoys on the wreck of the San Marco steamer.

Yesterday, before the weather conditions worsened, the body of Mario Perniciano, 60 years old, was recovered, transported to the Brotzu hospital in Cagliari and examined by Doctor Roberto Demontis. He will be the one to carry out the autopsy after the assignment by prosecutor Rita Cariello. The investigation suggests manslaughter.

The necropsy findings and the analysis of the wrist computers that the divers were wearing will serve to shed full light on what happened in the waters of Villasimius. This morning, like yesterday, the Port Authority, the firefighters and the Navy are at work, providing logistical support with the Gaeta minesweeper.
