Critical health situation in the "Maria Teresa Cau" primary school in Ozieri . The number of infections from Streptococcus, a highly contagious bacterial infection that can affect both adults and children, has forced the mayor Marco Peralta to close the institute, ordering the suspension of face-to-face lessons from tomorrow, Monday March 20, until Friday 24, with the continuation of teaching activities in Dad.

The decision was taken following the communication of the head teacher of the comprehensive institute of the "MT Cau" elementary school who collected the concerns of the parents of the pupils, and after a series of interviews with the basic pediatrician, Dina Fantasia, who had highlighted numerous cases of contagion from "Streptococcus pyogenes", a highly contagious pathogen. Symptoms include sore throat, pain when swallowing, fever, red and swollen tonsils, also plaques and swollen lymph nodes in the neck.

The mayor, in order to limit the spread of the disease, deemed it appropriate to temporarily close the school as a precautionary measure to prevent the circulation of the bacterium and sanitize the school environments.
