The solidarity parade "Beauty in a smile" returns on December 8th to the municipal theater of Ortacesus, created to give a carefree moment to those who are going through a dark chapter in their lives. On the catwalk there are dresses by the dressmaker Rita Giua , designed and made for women with cancer . The debut of the initiative in 2018, then the stop due to Covid and now the return to the scene.

In 2017, after a breast cancer diagnosis , the designer began the long treatment journey towards recovery. She spent a lot of time in the waiting rooms with other women, with whom she shared stories, moments of joy and moments of fear. Moments, confidences, endless expectations. All this led the creative to express a new desire: to put her profession and years of experience in the world of sewing at the service of those "traveling companions". So, with the help of his daughter Giorgia, a stylist, he first designed and then created the models, both day and evening. There are several collections already available, so much desire to bring them on a red carpet.

In synergy with a team of hairdressers, make-up artists and sponsors - who lent their work to the cause - what was only imagined then became reality. On November 24, 2018, the first edition of the fashion show was held at the T-hotel in Cagliari. The following year the repeat was held in the party room of the General Command of the Army in Cagliari. Walking the catwalk, to experience an unforgettable evening, were all the women who had inspired those same clothes, who thus became models for a day. And the magic of the event returns with a new appointment, new models, new sartorial creations.
