Italian doctors are not convinced by the hypothesis that the Meloni government may not extend the obligation of masks in hospitals and RSA, which expires today, 31 October. "The concern", said the president of Fnomceo, the National Federation of Medical Orders, Filippo Anelli, "is that since there is no longer a national rule, citizens are left bewildered, and feel entitled to challenge or not respect the provisions adopted in the individual structures ", which could decide to continue with the taxation.

Along the same lines, the Sardinian infectious disease specialist Antonio Pintus, from Sassari ,   which harshly challenges the line of the national executive: "Not putting the mask inside a hospital ward", he argues, "means exposing the most fragile people, the elderly, cancer patients, immunosuppressed or haematological patients to a high risk of infection " .

The doctor goes on to underline that “in these patients an infection that overlaps with health situations already compromised, can cause an acceleration towards serious situations, up to death”.

Then a more comprehensive judgment on the government line with respect to Covid: “I note that the Meloni executive is working on denial: no vax doctors will be readmitted to work, who with their wicked behavior have caused the loss of too many human lives. Science is not an opinion, it is a set of data and certainties ”.
