Steals clothing for 5 thousand euros: serial thief reported in Cagliari
The man was identified thanks to video surveillance images, even a fingerprint betraying him
He had broken into a sportswear shop in the center of Cagliari at night, taking away numerous items of clothing , worth over 5,000 euros .
The protagonist of the episode, which dates back to 11 February, is a 40-year-old homeless from Cagliari , now identified and reported by the police of the capital.
Investigators from the property crimes section were able to identify the man thanks to the images of the video surveillance cameras . A further, unequivocal, confirmation came from a footprint left by the thief on the entrance door of the shop, which had been forced with a lockpick. From the comparison of the print, the specialists of the Scientific Police have provided a certain identity.
The man is strongly suspected of being the author of other thefts on commercial establishments in Cagliari which occurred recently. In 2022 he was denounced three more times for similar episodes.
