117 doctors from the San Francesco di Nuoro hospital presented a complaint to the Public Prosecutor 's Office to denounce the staff crisis in the Barbagia hospital, in which they underline "the essential levels of assistance are no longer guaranteed, so it is believed that profiles can be identified of illegality ".

The complaint was also sent for information to the local and island institutions : to the mayor of Nuoro Andrea Soddu, to the prefect Luca Rotondi, to the socio-health district, to the labor inspectorate, to the president of the Region and to the councilor to Health.

CRITICALITIES - Along the list of critical issues reported by doctors: " Closure of the operating units of Surgery, Orthopedics-Traumatology and Urology with the consequent need to transfer the competent patients to other facilities; 24-hour lack of essential services such as digestive endoscopy and interventional radiology ; lack of a clear path with the other health companies, for a quick care of the patients of the San Francesco; undersized staff in all the operating units that determine an unacceptable stress condition in the professionals ".

"FILLING MEASURE" - "The doctors' complaint is the clear sign that the measure is full and that the Region , responsible for the health organization, is pushing the health workers whose endurance capacity has been severely tested to despair - the words of the mayor of Nuoro, Andrea Soddu -, my total support goes to them. The appeal is that the problems should not be solved by the Prosecutor's Office but by politics. We have a reinforced first level Goddess who ensures some operational units, which, in order to function, must have a certain contingent of doctors. The fact is that the professionals must be distributed differently in Sardinia and this is the task of the Region ".

The mayor also tells of some steps taken with the Asl CEO Paolo Cannas to decongest the hospital from providing care to the elderly. "The meeting was based on the planning of 165 beds in the RSA in the territory of the ASL n 3: of these 60 are reserved for the ASL of Macomer and 105 are to be programmed. We asked for at least 80 for Nuoro with the exhortation to do soon "concludes Soddu.
