Sorso, volunteers clear the sand dunes of plastic waste

The splendid sand dunes near Sorso, also near the long coast, are now cleaner. Thanks to the precious work of volunteers and members of the Plastic free association.

Collected and eliminated tons of plastic waste (and not only), abandoned over the years by the usual rude and uncivilized, especially along the coast.

Among the volunteers there are also many young people, which bodes well. The cleaning also had the support of the municipal administration of Sorso, as regards the collection and disposal of waste.

"It will certainly not be an isolated initiative - explain the volunteers - We have other similar days in mind throughout the territory. Keeping the environment clean is one of our missions. We are aware that fines are not enough to stop the rude. We need more sensitivity on environmental issues in schools and institutions. Something has improved in recent years. But that is not enough. Unfortunately, the path to be taken is still long ".
