Sorso, out of control car mows down a passerby and crashes into a pole: two very serious injuries

The car went off the road and ended up on the pavement, where it hit a passerby.

The toll from the accident which occurred in the early afternoon today in via della Marina, in Sorso, is two injuries in very serious conditions. The out-of-control vehicle hit the girl and then crashed into a street lighting pole, knocking it down.

The motorist and passerby were rescued by 118 and transported to hospital under code red: the intervention of the helicopter rescue service was necessary. The young woman is in intensive care.

The firefighters have made the accident scene safe: the carabinieri are working to carry out the investigations.
