Solinas in San Gavino: meeting with the struggling foundry workers

In the afternoon of Palm Sunday there was a meeting with the employees of the Glencore foundry, in a permanent assembly awaiting the decisive meeting tomorrow in Rome: the Swiss company is asking for long-term certainties on the price of energy, continue production – destined for conversion anyway – and avoid having to cut hundreds of payrolls.

Solinas listened to the stories of the employees, worried about their future, at the table with the mayor Carlo Tomasi and the administrators of the Medio Campidano centre.
