In the next few hours, Sardinia will have to deal with snow and ice, both reported by the regional civil protection with a warning valid from midnight today until 12 noon on Friday 10 February.

Isolated and scattered precipitations are expected, with moderate local cumulus clouds in the eastern sector. The snow will fall on areas around 500 meters above sea level in the eastern part of the island, while on the rest of the territory from 600 to 700 meters above sea level.

It is also probable that ice will form on the road surface.

Great caution is therefore recommended, avoiding the use of two-wheeled means of transport.

On the SS 131 from Km 137+900 to Km 179+500 (Campeda plateau) there is an obligation to have chains on board or to use winter tires (for snow) or other approved non-slip means.
