A large wild boar , a female , was found dead last night in the pine forest of Sinnai , a few dozen meters from the entrance. It had a large wound and had lost a lot of blood .

"I saw her the night before," says pensioner Antonello Pinna, " she passed by the bench I was sitting on with a friend, she was followed by her five wild boars . The next day I noticed her again, curled up in the shade of a bush. She wasn't well, she seemed injured: I called the forest rangers . At the sight of them, she had a fit and quickly disappeared with her wild boars. Last night, we found her dead, injured, I don't know by what, a few meters from the entrance to the pine forest."

The forest rangers and the municipal police arrived to recover the carcass: it is still not known whether the animal was killed, nor how, nor when, its five wild boars instead entered the woods .

"That big boar - says Antonello Pinna - was approaching the town, it was hungry and thirsty ". And then, a reflection and a piece of advice. "There is a way to prevent these boars from suffering from thirst and hunger: it would be enough to ensure they have water and food in adequate spaces within the same pine forest ". "Perhaps we would no longer talk - adds Antonello Pinna - about wild boars in the vicinity of our suburbs. With food and water assured in their forest, they would willingly stay there, in the shade of the pine trees and the Mediterranean scrub".
