Sinnai, thirty thousand plants to bring greenery back to the suburban hills

New green areas with Pnrr funds in Sinnai. The construction sites opened last autumn were financed with the Pnrr, involving the localities of "Cirronis", "Cuili cuaddus" near the pine forest. An intervention that also allowed the repair of the dirt road that leads to the Cirronis construction site. The works began last September, contracted out to a Sicilian company, also using local staff.

The affected areas have been affected by fires over the years with the destruction of the greenery. «It was thus decided - says the councilor for Productive Activities and the Environment Franco Orrù - to recover the greenery by planting thirty thousand Mediterranean scrub plants: a project that can be expanded over time. The financing was one and a half million euros. We opted to focus on the same essences (cysts, strawberry trees, holm oaks) that have always characterized the territory".
