A car hits a cat on via Cherubini in Sinnai and kills it. The word spreads on social media: the cat was killed by a “ripper” who then abandoned it on the street, it happened on via Cherubini.
This morning, city councilor Michela Matta is inundated with calls, she turns to the local police who makes the necessary investigations together with a veterinarian from the ASL. Result? It was a car that killed the cat.
"On the asphalt - says the commander of the fire brigade Giuseppe Fiori - there are traces. In any case we have extended the investigations that deny any other hypothesis at the moment".
Councilor Michela Matta issued a statement denying the social media: "In the meantime, our town has been denigrated to say the least. Sinnai, contrary to what some have written, has always been known for the care, respect and love it shows for all animals, but especially for cats. I remember that to date, eleven feline colonies are registered, cared for by patient volunteers, moved only by love for the animals, and who provide them not only with food and water, but also take care of promoting and supporting a widespread sterilization activity of the felines themselves, which helps to avoid the proliferation of stray animals ."
