Work on the installation of seven photovoltaic pergolas is progressing in the car park of the municipal building in Sinnai. The objective is to produce electricity to serve the same municipal offices whose management costs weigh on the budget. The intervention will cost 180 thousand euros, arrived with the Pnrr. The construction of a box to house the electrical panels, the inverter and the storage system is also planned: two batteries with a capacity of 5.2 kw/h.

The photovoltaic system will be connected to the grid with the creation of a solar energy production plant. The objective is to achieve significant energy savings for the Municipality's coffers.

«From the analysis of the consumption of the municipal building - we read in the project note - we can deduce a percentage of consumption estimated at around 40 percent, in the F2 and F3 bands attributable to consumption on weekdays. Taking this into account and considering the inactivity in the Town Hall on public holidays, it was decided to install a storage system, with a nominal capacity of 10.24 kWh, in order to store the energy produced on public holidays to reuse it on weekdays. The energy produced by the plant will be almost entirely self-consumed by the municipal building."
