Sinnai celebrates Santa Barbara, its patroness. Three days for the summer festival, a religious appointment and shows in the square that does not forget even its emigrants, those who have settled far from home, those who live on the peninsula and in the rest of the world for study or work. An appointment scheduled for Sunday at 10 with a mass dedicated "just to distant Sinnaesi so that love for Santa Barbara is a reason to return to their origins". The former parish priest, Don Alberto Pistolesi, who died very young in December 2021, and the Sinnaese missionary Maria Paola Olla, who disappeared in 2009 among the "meninos de rua" in São Paulo, Brazil, will not be forgotten either. A life, his, spent above all for the poor of that great metropolis.

The party is organized by the Catholic association Santa Barbara chaired by Sergio Olla, the Committee and the parish, with Father Gabriele Biccai. It begins today at 6 pm with the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament at 6 pm and with a mass at 7 pm. Eucharistic adoration on Saturday at 6 pm. At 7 pm Mass in memory of Don Pistolesi and the missionary Maria Paola Olla.

Sunday mass at 8 and 10 (for distant Sinnaese). Solemn Mass at 7 pm concelebrated by Don Giuseppe Orrù and Father Biccai and animated by the Segossini choir. Also on Sunday at 21, the fireworks of the Contini di Serdiana company will be held in the church square. At 10 pm, musical evening with the ensemble "I Karma" (Passi nuove tour).
