Sinnai, big crowd for Is cerbus: over 2,000 people at the party

Crowds for the Sinnai carnival that today proposed Is cerbus, the parody of the deer hunt, with the masks that first walked the streets of the historic center, finding hospitality also in several homes with the offering of zeppole, sweets, Moscato and Malvasia. Then the masked men and children (to play the hunters, wild boars, deer, dogs and canaxiuis, the beaters who followed the prey, flushing them out, in the big game hunts).

At least 2,000 people attended: some in the streets of the historic center, some in Piazza Sant'Isidoro where the final slaughter took place . The hunters killed their prey with gunshots: with wooden dog chasers, set in the rifles. After the slaughter there was also a show of traditional songs and dances with choirs from Gavoi, Macomer and Gergei.

A party concluded to the sound of launeddas and accordion. Now the association "Is cerbus" which has 110 members between adults and children, proposes, as announced by the president Maurizio Manca, a trip overseas, to Miami which should take place in April with a folk group. The project has already been presented and should be financed by the Fondazione Sardegna. Today's event was organized by the association Is cerbus with the Municipality, as part of the Sinnai carnival .
