Siniscola: A tanker loaded with LPG collides with a truck in a head-on collision.

This afternoon, around 2:40 PM, the Siniscola Fire Department responded to a serious traffic accident at km 251 of the SS125, in the Siniscola countryside. Two heavy vehicles collided head-on, one of which was a tanker loaded with LPG.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but the vehicle carrying the gas was extensively damaged. The Siniscola Fire Brigade immediately secured the area and the vehicles involved.

The Provincial Operations Room activated the regional transfer module, with the intervention of seven specialized units from the NBCR unit, who arrived from the Sassari Command to transfer the LPG to another tanker. The rescue operations are being coordinated by the Nuoro Fire Brigade's on-call officer.

Complex operations are still underway to completely empty the tank, including by lighting torches. The road has been completely closed to traffic. Traffic police and ANAS are on site.
