Single brand for the promotion of tourism in Supramonte, agreement between 4 Municipalities

Agreement between the municipalities of Orgosolo, Urzulei, Dorgali and Oliena, Forestas and the regional environmental department with the aim of protecting and enhancing the territory of Supramonte and arriving at a single brand of tourism promotion . From a meeting held in Oliena came the acceleration of a project pursued for years.
The agreement concerns a series of interventions for the Protection of the Flora and Fauna of the Supramonte, a unitary management of the cycle-hiking network for a multi-day tourist experience in the 4 municipalities , a monitoring and regulation of tourist flows and the creation of a single brand for the Supramonte, promoting the tourist offer and local skills.
Forestas and the 4 municipalities will form a single entity for the management of the area, without "wanting to create new useless entities" , with the support of the Department of Environmental Protection which will guarantee the necessary funds.
After the program agreement already approved in the past, according to the mayors of Oliena Bastiano Congiu, Orgosolo Pasquale Mereu, Dorgali Angela Testone and Urzulei Ennio Arba, the executive phase is now starting. According to the mayors, "a big step towards the sustainable valorization of Supramonte".
