Simaxis, a mural for courage: students and ManuInvisible celebrate Avis's 35th anniversary.

A new mural by ManuInvisible adorns the walls of Simaxis, once again the result of a collaboration between the artist and the students of the local Comprehensive Institute. The mural is part of a project that ManuInvisible has been pursuing for years with the Simaxis middle school . This was already the case in 2019 with LEGAME, created in the community center, and in 2021 with the work dedicated to the theme of giving, a scale supporting two plates: GIVING and RECEIVING. This new creation, a drop that embodies the concept of courage, represents the next chapter in a collaboration that has strengthened over time.

"Working with ManuInvisible is always a special occasion," explains Michela Satta, a teacher at the Institute and project coordinator. "Manu is a very generous artist with the kids; he instantly connects with them. The projects he creates aim to raise awareness of respect among the kids, developing the values of good citizenship. The idea is that if you feel part of a generative project, it will be easier to care for and respect the places you live in and have helped to enhance. The key is not talking, but doing. And if this activity takes place alongside an artist like Manu, who shares his time and energy with the girls and boys, the result is even more significant."

Headmaster Giuseppe Scarpa also emphasized the significance of the initiative: " This mural was created to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the local Avis, and the word chosen for the occasion is COURAGE, the courage needed to decide to donate a part of yourself ." The mural was created by students from all classes of the Simaxis middle school, who learned more about AVIS and the world of volunteer organizations. The students left the entire community a gift that reminds them of the value and importance of giving every day. "They were very good," concludes the teacher, "they worked with great dedication until the wee hours, because creativity is also about dedication and commitment, in an immersive way. And Manu teaches us that."
