Three young people arrested by the Carabinieri of San Nicolò Gerrei, supported by the Operational and Radiomobile Unit of the Dolianova Company and by colleagues of the San Vito Company, during a night check along the Provincial Road 6.

The soldiers noticed a Volkswagen Polo with three young people on board, who, at the sight of the patrol, threw a suspicious package out of the passenger compartment, which – it was later discovered – contained cocaine .

The car was stopped shortly after and during the searches a second package was found, containing more cocaine, which the young men also intended to get rid of.

The situation escalated when the driver of the car, a 25-year-old already known to the police, tried to escape by attempting to flee and physically resisting. During the fight, the young man also kicked and bit the officers before being immobilized.

The on-site checks led to the seizure of a total of 30 doses of cocaine, equal to 26 grams. At the end of the formal procedures, the three young people were placed under house arrest in their respective homes, by order of the Judicial Authority.
