Silanus, hit by a flame while replacing the cylinders: he is in serious condition

A sudden explosion hit a pensioner from Silanus, Pasquale Runchina, 86 years old , in his home.

The man was promptly rescued and transported to the hospital by helicopter, in red code. He is in the burns center of the hospital in Sassari. An off-duty firefighter and a neighbor saved him.

The accident occurred shortly before 11 this morning, in Via Genova (a side street of Viale delle Rimembranze), in the lower part of the town.

It seems that the man had intervened to replace some cylinders . For reasons yet to be ascertained, he was hit by a full flame.

The Macomer firefighters and the Carabinieri intervened on site.
